Cambodia is wonderful for families. Children are fascinated by Angkor's temples, and activities like boat trips on Tonle Sap and the Phare Circus are perfect for all ages. Quality family hotels are available in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. The Killing Fields and S21 may be too intense for younger children, but older ones find them educational.
It's emotionally difficult but important for understanding Cambodia. The audio guide is well done and respectful. Most visitors find it meaningful, not exploitative.
